Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in web development principles and a desire to grow and learn within a fast-paced agency environment. This role is essential in helping us to develop and maintain high-quality websites that meet our client’s needs and support our digital marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of client websites and web applications.
- Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to implement visually engaging web features and enhancements.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Translate design mockups from Adobe InDesign or Figma into functional, responsive websites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web development technologies and modern design trends.
- Perform testing and debugging of web applications to ensure quality, functionality, and cross-browser compatibility.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role, including internships or freelance projects.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience working with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
- Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Ability to translate design mockups from tools like Figma or Adobe InDesign into functioning websites, with experience in creating web mockups or collaborating with designers to refine designs using either of these tools.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, web standards, and accessibility guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with coding technologies such as PHP or Ruby (Liquid) is helpful but not required.
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is helpful but not required.
