As one of our long-standing partners, premier fashion boutique The Dress Studio entrusted us with their next major evolution: a full redesign and strategic migration of their e-commerce store from WooCommerce to Shopify. The goal was to create a more sophisticated, scalable, and user-friendly shopping experience that elegantly managed both their online and in-store exclusive products, setting them up for future growth.

The Dress Studio’s existing WooCommerce site was becoming a barrier to growth, lacking the scalability and streamlined functionality needed to match their ambitions. The primary challenge was to execute a comprehensive platform migration and redesign with zero downtime, ensuring no interruption to sales or daily business operations. Furthermore, the site required a sophisticated solution to clearly differentiate between products available for online purchase and exclusive ‘in-store only’ items—a distinction the previous site handled poorly, often leading to customer confusion.

A Meticulous Migration and Custom-Tailored Shopify Experience

Our solution began with a strategic design phase on Shopify. We selected and customised an elegant theme that elevated the brand’s visual identity while prioritising intuitive navigation and a seamless user journey. To solve the core product challenge, we developed custom-coded product page templates. This bespoke solution created a clear and elegant distinction between ‘Buy Online’ and ‘In-Store Only’ items, instantly clarifying the purchasing path for customers. With the new design approved, we orchestrated a meticulous migration plan. This detailed process allowed us to transfer all products, customer records, and order histories to the new Shopify platform flawlessly, achieving a smooth transition with no disruption to the business.
